January 2010. – The very first weekend in the entire history of the College that weather has forced us to close for a weekend!

Now rescheduled for Jan 30th/31st it will business as usual! Weather permitting!!

January 2010 will find our new First year learning what needs to be addressed before giving the first prescription to a patient. Time spent with our nutritional expert will introduce the students to Micro and Macro nutrients to be followed by a fascinating insight into potency and homeopathic provings. The Sunday for this year group will introduce the central Nervous System and an essential introduction to the Classical methodology and case work.

This month the Second Year students consider the enormous importance of the concept of homeopathic Miasm and disease. Nutritional teaching will introduce the importance of anti-oxidants in the diet for prevention of disease. Body wise the group explores the importance of the spine/vertebrae/ligaments and disease related conditions.

Our Third Year group will study the hormonal changes on the female body – incorporating the menopause and related problems. Asthma and bronchitis is addressed in depth with other important respiratory problems. Sunday finds the group exploring how the brain functions to be followed with Diabetes and understanding of the kidney function.

Our Fourth Year students are now progressing well into their final year of study with busy portfolios of case work.

This month we explore problems relating to the disabled and immobile patient to be followed by an understanding of health and age related issues.

The importance of constitutional support is addressed and nutrition for the elderly is examined along side nutritional support of conditions such as arthritis. New provings and methodology are explored on Sunday with important new remedies being introduced.

A busy but stimulating start to the new year for our students as we move them ever closer to becoming capable homeopathic practitioners!
