Supportive Education

The Homeopathic College of East Anglia recognises the vital importance of a broad spectrum education in natural health care to enable the graduate to address all aspects of their patient’s health needs. To this aim, we provide tuition in nutrition, herbal remedies, flower remedies and basic first aid.

A sound knowledge of nutrition will enable graduates to assess and advise their patient on a suitable diet to enable the body to gain adequate amounts of nutrients necessary for healing. It will also introduce commonly taken supplements, allowing graduates to understand how these may benefit their patient.

Within herbal medicine, there are a range of tinctures which act in a supportive capacity for the organs of the body. We encourage an understanding of the valuable use of these herbal remedies to complement the gentle healing manner of homeopathic treatment, where appropriate. Training on herbal remedies includes the A.Vogel Institute workbook and phytotherapy training courses during Years 1, 2 and 3.

Flower remedies are a respected tool to address emotional imbalances within the patient and we include an introduction to these within the curriculum. An awareness is established of the range of flower remedies available, including the Australian Bush Flower Remedies, Bach Flower Remedies and the Bailey Essences.

NHS Links

The College has established useful links within the NHS and our students are fortunate to experience first hand observation in oncology departments.

Our students have enjoyed the rewards of having their research articles published in The Society of Homeopaths’ Journal.

It is the policy of this College to actively encourage links with the NHS and the publication of future student articles.
